Dexamol* is an interdisciplinary artist focusing on imagery that marries the natural with the fictional. With 20 years of commercial work under his belt, He currently creates music videos and stage visuals for well known artists; Grimes, Anyma and Tale of Us among them.
His personal work transports us to a not-too-distant future of synthetic insects and environments. Producing animations and digital images, as well as physical sculptures, Dexamol’s art bypasses engendered dichotomies such as natural vs artificial & finds big beauty in small things.
His work was most recently shown at Art Basel, the big screens of Shibuya Tokyo and at Wieden+Kennedy in a charity exhibition in support of Rainforest Trust. He has worked with University of Tokyo researchers as an artist for real-world biological conservation projects and has recently been the editor for the graphic novel Bioripple (by Nir Levie) published under Heavy Metal Magazine.
