Until the mid-14th century, the art of stained glass continued to exist strongly, but gradually lost its effectiveness from this date onwards, and due to various religious and social reasons, and technical developments that could be considered negative for the art of stained glass, it entered a process that would result in its almost oblivion in the following centuries. Especially with the invention of the printing press, as in other branches of art, the educational purpose of stained glass used on the public disappeared, and the dominant communication style of the society based on verbal and visual perception changed. An understanding that interprets and puts the individual at the center began to prevail.
