Massimone - The Original Cast by Simone Vezzani

Massimone is a fusion of two entities. Contrasting elements that are perfectly fitted and harmoniously linked together as the sculpture simultaneously adheres to and breaks anatomical rules.

Every single element in both scenes is self produced without the use of any stock models or 3D assets. For these creations Simone used a real reproduction of the Gaddi's Torso (currently located in Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence), via 3D scans that were then redesigned for this work. The ground, rocks, arches and columns have also been captured during his travels throughout Italy and France, visiting cities such as Rome, Siena, Florence and Paris. Massimone is the first extract from the short film DECADENZA, released by the artist in 2021 and the music has been composed by Raoul Battilani, a musician of the VivaVerba group.

The intention of this drop is to give full attention and importance to the sculpture itself, which is represented in two available styles. The Master is available as a 1/1 unique edition and The Original Cast available as an open edition.
