Collection by Limbo, Estrujamentes y Alejandro
This collection is based on the initial work "ONE DOLLAR", the iconic green bill that was reinterpreted by three collage artists to create their own individual version.
One Dollar Burn Edition proposes to experience the reduction of "ONE DOLLAR" tokens through a burning process, causing scarcity and generating greater value for holders, at the same time, exploring deflation in NFTs from an artistic perspective and visual.
Today's emerging economies have challenged established conventions and redefined the cultural and economic value of art. This series of collages challenges the traditional notion of scarcity and value by exploring the concept of deflation, offering a reflection on limited supply, the nature of art and its intrinsic value.
Limbo Mask - is a Mexican artist based in cyberspace who uses collage as a means of expression. His work stands out for the use of symbolic elements and images that speak of digital technology and its impact on contemporary society and on the human being as an individual. His collages are characterized by a conjugation of spaces and gadgets of the past and present, where you can find represented in the same work, objects related to the cybernetic world with vintage images of botany books, old photographs or fractions of classic works of art.
Estrujamentes - Digital artist, writer, illustrator and psychologist. She gives rise to a visual and poetic device of mental transgression, one which creates and recreates fields of experimentation to bring people closer to systems of thought deemed alternative to traditional ones. Her aim is to provoke meaning without the need for rationalization. She chooses digital collage as a painting technique, and reflective writing as an opportunity for subjectification and resistance to a predominantly rational world.
Alejandro - is an experimental collage artist. His work is inspired by traditional collage, surrealism, optical illusions, space and cosmos. In his work, you can spot: vibrant colors, black and white elements, handmade ripped textures, circles, squares and triangles. He’s using Blockchain to register his art, which has gone through a transformation process, starting from the destruction of unused paper or materials, to the creation of a new composition.
