Where animals have been killed without being eaten or hunted, Nasnus can appear. Usually this is just for animals no bigger than the average rabbit, according to xatinian folklore.
They levitate above the animal body for a few hours and when the decomposition process starts, they disappear.
Modern research shows that maybe when a nesnu appears it collects the last amounts of electromagnetic impulses that the body of the deceased animal makes, a sort of "electromagnetic scavenger". although, this is just a theory.
Similar to nasnus, shopuks appear when an animal has been killed without being hunted or eaten, specially aquatic animals in ponds or rivers.
Modern research has also shown that they gather electromagnetic energy from corpses, but what has not been studied in enough detail is their central light, which can blind all kinds of animals if seen more than ten seconds.
Xatinians, however, believed that the reflection of their light (which is much less harmful for the eyes) have hallucinogenic properties.
Research done of these entities was done by mexican neurscientist Dr. Vicente Ventura in the Xatinian Islands, an archipielago in the pacific ocean where the Xatin Civilization lived until english colonizers murdered their population.
The islands are notable for having the ultra-rare compound Xatyne, a bright natural radiactive material that can levitate by itself, looks like colored plastic and smells like grapefruit, or mango, depending on the hour of day.
