Globalization has had significant impacts on societies around the world, both in terms of economic and cultural progress. However, one negative impact of globalization is the loss of culture and identity for some communities.
Communities that lose their culture due to globalization can suffer severe damage to their value and norm systems. When foreign and modern cultures enter a community, the values and norms that were previously held strongly can be shifted and forgotten. Communities may no longer appreciate traditional practices and local wisdom and can become more influenced by foreign cultures that may not align with their values.
