The Artist:

Karolina was born in the southern part of Sweden, in the city of Gothenburg. During her childhood, ballet and dance were her main interests. She began dancing at a young age and remains passionate about it even today; behind the camera. On her nineteenth birthday, she got her first camera, and that’s where her interest for photography really began. After completing her photographic education, with tuition from Olof Glemme, among others, she began working as an assistant for various Photographers in Stockholm. Eventually, her path led her to New York City where she had the opportunity to work in the art world with Andres Serrano and Paula Cooper Gallery. Since 1999, she has been exploring the various ins and outs of photography, and has worked with clients such as UNICEF, Childhood, Swedish Fund for children with Cancer, Pink Ribon, Circus Cirkör, The City of Stockholm Kultur, The Royal Swedish Opera, The Royal Theater Dramaten and magazines such as Wallpaper Magazine, Harpers Bazaar and L´Officiel.

Her Experience:

Her work has been exhibited at Fotografiska Museum, the Modern Museum of Art Stockholm, Kulturhuset 750 year celebration, Architect Museum Stockholm, The Dance Museum, The Royal Swedish Opera, Värmland Museum, Virserum Artmuseum, Tomelilla Artmuseum, Abecita Artmuseum, Varbergs fästning, Outdoor Exhibition Kungsträdgården 2021, and Bikini Berlin, opened by Her Majesty The Queen of Sweden.

Her Drop:

"L.A. Won" is a genesis drop for Karolina. She is excited about entering the NFT space, and the chance to usher traditional cultural institutions into modern times with her bold conceptual art and vision.
