Human Fabric is the title of Alessandro Pongan's collection curated by Galleria Perpetua. Paraphrasing the term Urban Fabric, the artist creates a network made up of individual intertwined figures, which seen from above recall the architecture of metropolis.
The central theme of the collection is human connections, essential in a society in which the human is increasingly similar to a factory product, without identity and constantly influenced in its choices. The person is reduced to a 3D module by the artist and the same is repeated endlessly in an image where the strength of the group and the solitude of unity are kept in a precarious balance.
From the repetition comes a composition full of joints and almost psychedelic, which remind to the surreal worlds of Escher in which the perspective evolves continuously.
Human Fabric is part of "Il ciclo del Prono": a series that sees the Prone as the main figure, a character represented in different contexts, languages and formats, without ever losing its identity. It is solid, geometric, archaic and pop at the same time.
