Rusty is on fire. Following an intense explosion, the glowing heat is taking over the steel head, making it shine brightly. You catch a glimpse and then it’s burnt out. The continuation of the piece lies within the mode of collection. In those, the remains of Bender are placed on a plinth and appear as bone, in black, white, gold or crystal. Marked with the comment “Rusty in Peace” the skulls seem to have been through a lot. The remnants of ash and smoke beneath them point to the eventful baptism by fire they have been exposed to. In the unknown meantime, they have been smeared with graffiti and precious remarks.
