The Garden Of Etherium

The Garden of Ethereum is Monica Seggos’s genesis collection on Nifty Gateway. The project speaks to the ethos of the space: Self Sovereignty, Decentralization, Permanence, and Provenance. These concepts drew Monica to Cryptoart to begin with, and they have enabled her to maintain her presence in this space throughout all the chaos.

About the Artist

Monica’s Post-Internet Art is part of an overarching theme she has been exploring which focuses on her observations of navigating life in a Post-Internet world from the perspective of someone who grew up when the Internet did not exist. Creating digital art is an integral part of her practice and her work reflects her experiences and observations of the Post-Internet world.

Monica’s approach to digital art is similar to her physical approach to art, that is, from a sculptural point of view. Monica’s digital works are sculpture from a process perspective, rather than a dimensional perspective. She sculpt images, text and concepts in the ether, to create 2D and video works of art. Her ultimate goal in the Cryptoart space is to be able to create immersive worlds.
