I’m appalled at the culture created that has desensitized us from suffering, pushed us away from our commonalities and acceptance of each other even despite our differences, and deemphasized a humble appreciation of what we have, over what we don’t.
I’m appalled at our lack of care as humans towards the suffering of women, children, and those different from us. Toward nature and our planet, and towards each other as if we are not all equal. Revering constantly what we don’t have, what we should fear, or who’s somehow more important.
Based on the Gaia hypothesis that the planet is one living biosphere, this piece is meant to celebrate being alive, all together as one. That life, nature, women, and children are full of vitality and blooming color are the reason and wake-up call to enjoy the world we live in. Each other. And all of its joys. Right here. Right now.
We are all enough.
