Fragments Of A Universe by Flying Lotus

Released May 20, 2021

Flying Lotus' name is synonymous with creative innovation, having released six seminal studio albums, a slew of audio-visual marvels and, in the process, gaining a Grammy for his work on Thundercat's 'It Is What It Is'. The multi-disciplinary Los Angeles artist has remained in constant orbit, collaborating with Kendrick Lamar on the classic To Pimp a Butterfly, directing and writing the Sundance-premiered comic horror hallucination Kuso, and producing much of Thundercat’s Drunk. He’s also nurtured his Brainfeeder imprint into the most consistently innovative record label of the decade.

Strangeloop

Dave (aka Strangeloop) is an LA-based digital artist and director. He has done visual show design for acts such as The Weeknd, Bonobo, Flying Lotus, Erykah Badu, The Glitch Mob, and Skrillex. His work has been featured in the Amsterdam Film Festival, Telluride Film Festival, and in the feature films Perfect and Kuso. He is also the co-founder of Strangeloop Studios, a visual content production company - and Spirit Bomb, the world's first virtual artist label.

LILFUCHS

LILFUCHS – aka Adam Fuchs – has channeled a deep love of music, illustration, animation, and psychedelica into a vibrant, multi-disciplinary body of work. Since 2000, LILFUCHS has provided graphic design and animated music videos for the likes of Captain Murphy, St. Vincent, Sylvan Esso, HEALTH, Little Dragon, Ghost, and Local Natives. His style celebrates color, propulsive motion, and rich iconography, while maintaining a tactile, analog feel in an increasingly digital world. NOTE: Hidden in one of LILFUCHS pieces is a QR code that will direct to a URL on his website where you can see original digital sketches he made of the Captain Murphy character.

Winston Hacking

Winston Hacking is a filmmaker and collage artist based out of Portland, Oregon.  His passion lies in conjuring up hybrid works that are equal parts contemporary collage and early cinematic illusion. His first collaboration with Flying Lotus was creating animated scenes for his controversial horror film, Kuso, that premiered at Sundance. They continued to work together creating music videos and, more recently, designing the album artwork for Flamagra (2019) that won a Libera Award for best album packaging.  Winston's animations have screened at festivals worldwide (London International Animation Festival and Ottawa International Film Festival) collecting awards and Vimeo Staff Picks along the way.  His work attracts millions of views online and has been featured in Hypebeast, Juxtapoze, Vogue and the New York Times. He signed to Pulse Films in 2020, completing collaborations with Run the Jewels and Zach De La Rocha and a soon to be released short film with Bad Bad Not Good.
