EVE'S SINS

In historical and religious contexts, the representation of women through the character of Eve and the narrative of the original sin has often been a subject of controversy and debate. It is essential to understand that these interpretations have evolved over centuries and have been influenced by various cultural, social, and religious beliefs.

In the Judeo-Christian tradition, Eve is portrayed as the first woman and the partner of Adam in the Garden of Eden. According to history, Eve is said to have been created from Adam's rib, symbolizing her connection to him and their inherent equality. However, the story takes a significant turn when Eve is depicted as succumbing to the temptation of the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden and persuading Adam to do the same. This act of disobedience is commonly referred to as the "original sin."

Historically, this portrayal of Eve has contributed to the development of negative stereotypes and prejudices against women. It has been used to justify patriarchal societies, where women were often seen as the cause of sin, weakness, and temptation. Consequently, women were subjugated, denied equal rights, and restricted to domestic roles. They were deemed less capable of making rational decisions, and their voices were marginalized.

The idea of women being portrayed as a temptation that drives men to pursue money, love, and power has a long and complicated history. Throughout literature, art, and various cultural representations, women have often been depicted as seductive figures capable of exerting a powerful influence over men's actions and decisions.

This collection is made up of three pieces: "money", "love" and "power". Inspired by a female character that represents the figure of Eve but at the same time all women. She appears with a conservative and religious outfit and attitude, almost like a martyr, however she is placed in different scenarios,full of symbols that evoke the divine, sin and desire, a duality between good and evil.

"Money" and "love" will be available as open editions between August 16 to 19 and "power" will be send as an airdrop for buyers of both pieces "money" and "love".
