Chasing Sunset by Eitan Barokas

I decided to remove “Chasing Sunset,” from my upcoming 50-Piece Series in order to let it stand alone on its own, as my Genesis NFT. As I geared up to take my first steps into the digital art world, I knew that I wanted to enter the space with a single piece before releasing the Series in its entirety. “Chasing Sunset,” has been an important work to me since its inception, and it’s one of the seven digital creations that I brought to life, by hand on canvas, in my latest physical series. When I first started creating in this new digital style, this specific piece always served as a reminder to me in connecting me to my roots and my purpose in telling these tales.

The works that you’ll see in my upcoming 50-Piece Series serve as snapshots of all of us at different moments in our daily lives and journeys; They’re but fleeting moments that are frozen in time. These pieces, as well as the stories that accompany them, speak on identity, truth, progress, setbacks, certainty, indecision, and overcoming.

“Chasing Sunset,” checked all the boxes for me: I knew that when I would enter the digital space, this would be where I began. I hope that the story that I wrote to accompany this work helps you contextualize how I’m feeling and all that I’ve been thinking about. Even more so, I hope that it can connect with you, too, as you chase your own sunset.

Thank you for being here with me as I take a step into the unknown. This process has been deeply personal for me, and through it all, I aim to bring myself closer to you, as I continue to overcome myself.
