Films, social media, and contemporary culture are things that THE 1993 grew up in. The quotes presented in this collection describe what goes on inside the heart of THE 1993, from social conditions and love affairs to heartache: things that make real life look like it comprises scenes from a movie.

About THE 1993

THE 1993 is a photographer and videographer based in Jakarta and Tokyo. He previously worked in Dentsu Indonesia in the creative division of JKT48 Operation Team. He has also worked as a visual producer in one of Indonesia's most prominent Japanese media, japanesestation.com. The many brands he has worked for are Konami, Garuda Indonesia, Nissin, Onitsuka Tigers, RealMe, The British Council, and The Japan Foundation.

In March 2023, THE 1993 is spending a month of residency in Japan, where he is working on several photography projects.
