About the Artist

Julia Ryan is a New York-based oil painter who explores portraiture and objects through colorful cropped compositions. Julia's work originates from an original photo reference which is then manipulated to create ultimate contrast and saturation. The paintings are meant to read as realistic from afar, yet have evidence of the artist's hand from up close. Julia draws influence for her large-scale paintings from pop art and hyperrealism. Her work is featured in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas as well as the Palms Hotel & Casino and has been internationally shown. Julia received her BFA degree from the University of Southern California Roski School of Art and Design in May 2017.
