BRITISH MONARCHY Combination of NFTs with history and memes
ELIZABETH II
There are 10 parliamentary monarchies that exist in Europe: the United Kingdom, Spain, Luxembourg, Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Monaco and Liechtenstein. Although, of all of them, it is Elizabeth II that has emerged as the universal symbol of what a European royal house represents.
Very special occasions in Elizabeth's life have been her jubilees, the celebration of certain years of reign: the silver one in 1977 (25 years on the throne), the ruby one in 1992 (40 years), the golden one in 2002 ( 50 years), the diamond in 2012 (60 years), the sapphire in 2017 (65 years) and finally the platinum in 2022 (70 years). She was the first monarch in the country's history to celebrate the sapphire and diamond jubilees, since before her the longest reign was that of her great-great-grandmother Victoria, who reigned for almost 64 years; and one of the few sovereigns in history to exceed 70 years on the throne.
Despite the public, private and national conflicts that she has gone through, Elizabeth II continues to be one of the most valued sovereigns in the history of her country. Her experience, dedication and distance from political affairs have also made her highly respected among the vast majority of heads of state who have known her. For these and many other things, Elizabeth II has been the queen of records.
The Monarchy par excellence in Europe is the British. Without being the most powerful, it is as a brand, the most profitable. The firm (the company), as many of its members jokingly call the British Monarchy, has always derailed by coronary routes. In this 21st century, there are a dozen monarchies left in Europe and the logical question, in times of Sussexit, is whether and how they will survive the current sovereigns.
DIANA OF WALES
The immense popularity and esteem enjoyed by Princess Diana of Wales, a title she received after her marriage in 1981 with Prince Charles of England, Queen Elizabeth II's eldest son and heir to the British crown, must be considered unusual. When, after some placid beginnings, the marriage fell apart amidst a host of disagreements, accusations and infidelities widely reported by the tabloid press, public opinion maintained and even increased its sympathy for the "People's Princess" and instead denounced the conduct of the Prince Charles and the coldness and protocol rigidity of the Royal House. In 1997, a year after the divorce was officially consummated, Diana lost her life in a car accident in which the paparazzi paid by the tabloids had their share of responsibility; The tragedy shocked the world, magnified the figure of Lady Di to idolatry and plunged the British monarchy into a discredit from which it would take time to recover.
CHARLES III
Charles III was born on November 14, 1948 at Buckingham Palace in London. At that time, his mother had not yet acceded to the throne, which was held by George VI. Elizabeth II became Queen just three years after his birth, making him the first-rate heir to the throne.
