Bombay Beach by Lastsuspect

Released Feb 1, 2022

Introducing the Bombay Beach collection by Lastsuspect. In the 1950s and 60s, Bombay Beach was a booming tourist attraction, attracting over half a million visitors annually. A celebrity hotspot, everyone from Frank Sinatra to Sonny Bono to (of course) The Beach Boys would visit this famed attraction. But time marches on and Bombay Beach is now a bleached, rusted, abandoned apocalyptic wasteland with a shoreline that’s become a veritable graveyard littered with fish bones as far as the eyes can see. The dead fish, combined with rotting algal blooms, made the water smell so bad that the people stopped coming and nature began to reclaim what was rightfully hers. Lastsuspect set out to capture the beauty of a decaying world through his eyes, because while the last visitors may have left years ago, Bombay Beach will live on forever in our memory.
