Several Latin artists gathered around this theme, each one with a different interpretation and style. Each work contains a great emotional charge, giving a unique and special character to this collection.

1 Mikita - Bachelor of Plastic Arts. Digital and traditional artist. Mikita's art is semi-realistic and fantastic, sometimes surreal. The works that she performs are wrapped in an atmosphere of mystery and fantasy. Spirituality, delicacy and elegance are the words that can best describe Mikita's art. For 10 years she made oil paintings and participated in exhibitions in galleries in Italy and Spain. She then devoted herself entirely to digital painting and making commissioned art. She has been actively involved in the NFT community since February 2022.

Her art is surreal, intimate and narrative, full of magical realism. She has been working with physical art until she fell in love with digital art! 3 Alejandro R Rozan – Cuban artist and tarot reader based in the US. His artistic work is inspired by the archetypes of the tarot and the imagery of sacred art. In his work, he employs a variety of mediums including watercolor, pencil, pen, and digital art. Alejandro is best known for being author and illustrator of the Tarot des Ambiguites, a tarot deck published by Artisan Tarot.
His work has been featured in publications such as the Esotoracle, Azoth and Kronikas, L'Inventaire Imaginaire. Recently Alejandro has been active in the NFT community which has allowed him to explore 2D animation taking his art to a new dimension, that of motion and sound.

Description: Drawing inspiration from Charles Baudelaire's evocative cover illustration for Les Fleurs du Mal, this piece is a self-portrait that delves into the profound sense of connection with the world.  Much like a firmly rooted tree, I depict myself with an exposed chest, revealing a protective rib cage cradling a vibrant heart. This heart beats in harmony with the earth through veins painted in striking hues of blue and red, extending towards the heavens like the graceful branches of a tree. These branches blossom with white ginger lilies, the emblematic national flower of my homeland, Cuba. In a symphony of colors, the vivid red and blue veins harmonize with the pristine white of the blossoms, echoing the hues of the Cuban flag. This artistic amalgamation weaves a profound tapestry, firmly anchoring the piece to my Cuban heritage. 5 Ernesto Cisneros – Cuban musician and composer with more than 30 years of experience in the film and television sector.  He has developed extensive compositional work for various media and is also a graduate of a Bachelor of Education specializing in Mathematics.  He is a person involved in the NFT and crypto community since the end of 2020. Passionate about art and Internet technologies, he considers himself a citizen of the world.

6 Marlene Napoles – Venezuelan visual artist, more than 40 years ago, after graduating from the Julio Arraga School of Plastic Arts, she went through various physical techniques and materials, recently discovered digital art. Her roots travel to the house of her maternal grandparents that had the name of Zealandia, where she was born, grew up and lived surrounded by creativity and magic; Grandfather was a cabinetmaker carpenter, with his workshop in the backyard of the home, he always made furniture and, after retiring, made small wood crafts.
As a child he took me to his workshop and gave me tips on how to use carpentry tools; but among other things he taught me to distinguish the woods by their betas and aromas, how sorry I was not aware of those lessons then because I was more aware of the games, otherwise at this time I could also have had the job "Wood Sommelier "... there was also Grandmother who was always sewing on a Singer machine, also doing embroidery and weaving crafts, which she taught us during school holidays; Taking care of her plants and flowers with my mom who was also a seamstress, but mommy liked confectionery more, on the other hand, my grandmother told us magical stories, where they made me fly to other states of realities and mysteries of life, and feel that everything was possible.

Description: The work becomes part of a new recycling of randomly found images. As indicated by its title “Archivo 237. Mirada Perdida”, evokes a restlessness in the gaze, a moment captured by the camera. The intention is given by rescuing a frozen image in binary time to return it to the matter converted into a pictorial form so that it reflects on the state of its own transition. “Archivo 237. Mirada Perdida” came from an oil painting on canvas, worked through a washing and drying process to achieve the effects seen on the fabric through its texture. Recently is add as an NFT.

She is from the city of Río Cuarto, Córdoba, Argentina. She makes custom physical and digital work upon request. Title: “Mis Raíces”

Description: This artwork employs the "macramé" weaving technique, an ancient method of hand-knotting. The term "macramé" originates from Turkish and dates back to ancient Persia, meaning knot. This piece represents my roots as an Argentine, a country shaped by a blend of cultures and ethnicities. The upper part of the artwork showcases elements of "fileteado porteño," which emerges from the fusion of immigrant and Creole family artistry. It's an Argentine art style characterized by spiral lines, vibrant colors, and symmetry, considered Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. In the background, the Argentine national flag, created by General Manuel Belgrano in 1812, stands out. In front of the flag, there is a representation of a "mate," a traditional beverage with roots in the indigenous "guaraní" peoples and consumed in various countries in South America and the Middle East. Lastly, a "guarda pampa" is presented, which holds deep cultural significance and was created by indigenous peoples. It has been used in clothing, decorative items, and crafts throughout history.

Description: The medicine man Isaias Mavisoy Hansasoy , comes from the Inga tribe at Putumayo Colombia, his work with Ayaguasca ceremony has taken him around the world. I have had the honor to help him in some of this healling ceremonies. In a timber accident he lost a leg two years ago, and that makes him sad because he cannot walk into the jungle, to get the medicine plants that he learned from his ancestors to heal people. I ám raising founds with this nft to buy a good protesis with the Cirec foundation at Colombia, that made a protesis for Nelson Cardona that climbed the Himalaya with it.

22 – Sandra Arrán – Born in Valencia, Edo Carabobo - Venezuela. She is a self-taught artist by profession nurse who bases her artistic work on the experimentation of formats, textures, transparencies and assemblies. She looks for the figurative in each piece she creates. The work of this artist, as she describes it, is naive for lacking academic studies. In it she seeks to give a message beyond the visual with an intention that sneaks into the subconscious of the observer. The approach to readings on quantum physics has been one of the floors on which she bases her artistic proposal.

Title of the artwork: THE WORLD WE WANT (Ball in Hand Redux)

Description: We must never forget that the future of our World is in our hands. When the theme of Roots - Raíces was brought up for this exhibition, my first thought was to look at my parents, family, and culture. After all, those are the roots that are so important to me and what most of us associate with when people ask, “What are your roots?” As I thought of it more, I suddenly felt the need to go back to my “artistic roots” and see how much I’ve evolved as an artist. I decided to revive one of the 1st pieces I ever made: “Ball in Hand” - circa 1999, and use it as my base. My linework and color have always been integral to my art, but so much has blossomed since then. My use of Highlights and Shadows (Chiaroscuro), as well as my growing understanding of textures, are the two artistic and technical aspects that have grown by leaps and bounds. They add so much to each piece and are a closer rendition of what my imagination seeks to express. Through my NFT experience, I’ve also begun to explore animation, and this piece – with a spinning globe representing the World – allowed me to use it in a simple but effective manner. Finally, the colors of the World itself are so very special to me. Using the digital abstract piece painted by my daughter – Vida (means life in Spanish) - I can include her in my journey, as well as, foster the Roots that she will grow from as she explores art in her own way. She represents my future and the next custodian who will care for our world.

25 – Amaranta Martinez, also known as SUPERAMA, is a renowned visual artist from Venezuela based in Miami. She has received many prestigious awards, including an EMMY AWARD. SUPERAMA started her career in the animation and entertainment industry and later quit her job as an Art Director at Nickelodeon to pursue her passion for art and illustration. Since then, SUPERAMA has worked on various exciting projects worldwide, including murals, animations, NFTs, books, installations, and clothing. She has collaborated with many impressive clients, including United Airlines, Armani Exchange, HUGO BOSS, NFL, Miami Dolphins, Viacom, Paramount, Verizon, and many more. 30 – Santos Santa Zayas, also known in the digital world as “Saintronikow,” is an graphic designer and emerging NFT artist born in Humacao, Puerto Rico. He has been interested in arts since childhood, starting to draw at the age of 5 and taking art courses at the San Juan Art League of San Juan in Old San Juan and the Contemporany Arts Museum in Santurce. He got higher educations in Architectural Design at the Manuel Mediavilla Negrón Vocational School in Humacao and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design with minors on Commercial Advertising and Printing Processes from the University of Puerto Rico, Carolina campus. He currently works as a freelance artist under Saintronik Designs and is developing an NFT project called “Mofongible Mashies” with the aim of implementing blockchain technology processes in the local gastronomic industry of Puerto Rico. Description: The piece titled "INGRAINIE" (Rooted) was created for the artistic collective titled "Raíces," created by Saintronikow, portraying the innate desire to maintain our roots through elements that create an representative environment of Puerto Rico. You can see elements of puertorrican flora and fauna with a background that alludes to El YunqueNational Forest, featuring the stump of  flamboyant tree with a coquí perched on it. This unique coquí is created from pieces of the NFT project "MofongibleMashies," where a personality is given to “pilones”or mortars, containers used in food preparation. The INGRAINIE Coquifongible has a flamboyant flower as a decorative element on its head and is guarding the remnants of a treasure, which can be seen when it jumps onto the remaining roots of the tree, symbolizing a national treasure. The design of these elements using digital methodsand technology as a means of expression, carries the message of always maintaining and protecting our roots.

Description: Modern Taíno Art represents the contemporary vision of a Taína in the present era, as there is no conclusive evidence of pure Taíno existence today, largely due to the disappearance of most indigenous people at the hands of colonizers. Additionally, this artistic work also captures the grandeur of El Yunque, Puerto Rico's natural gem. It incorporates elements of indigenous writing, such as the coquí and the Taíno sun. Description: is a powerful artistic representation that encapsulates the deep connections between my background in art and my country, as well as the various processes I have experienced throughout my life. This work invites the viewer to immerse themselves in a visual and emotional journey through the metaphor of roots and the liberating symbolism of shibari. At the center of the composition is a captivating female figure, wrapped in numerous intertwined ropes, resembling the intricate roots of a majestic tree. Each rope represents an aspect of my identity and experience, from my cultural and familial roots to my personal struggles and achievements.  These ropes, in turn, evoke a sense of bondage and restriction, symbolizing the obstacles and challenges I have faced along the way. However, as we explore the work more closely, we discover that the ropes not only imprison the figure, but also hold her and connect her to her surroundings. These ties, far from being merely limiting, become a means of anchorage and strength. They represent the teachings and learnings I have gained through my experiences, and how these have been fundamental to my artistic growth and development. In contrast to the ropes surrounding the figure are the floating sidewalks, which add an ethereal and surreal element to the composition.

Migration, like the plague that destroyed the forest, forced each tree that was thought safe to detach itself from the roots of its life, of its home, becoming nomads, wanderers, planting themselves again and again, longing for the land that they did not know. To return to.

This piece of video art is focused on my migrant life, the internal conflict that generates me being and not being from anywhere for 10 years without being able to return to the land where I was born and on the stories of many others who have set out with their walking roots literally dying without seeing that promised land.
