S2. E4. " Facing the End " LE 5/5
Story
The man felt an immense sense of peace and calm as he began to walk towards the white light in the distance. He could feel a profound stillness around him, as if time itself had stopped. Everything else was enveloped in darkness, with only the light providing any sense of direction or purpose.
As he moved closer to it, he felt a strange detachment from his own body – almost as if it no longer belonged to him. He felt weightless and free, unencumbered by the burdens and worries of life that he had been carrying before.
He realized that this was his time – his moment of passing on from this world and into whatever lay beyond it. His heart began to swell with a mixture of sadness and joy – sadness for all that was left behind, but joy for all that was waiting ahead in that white light.
He thought about his family and friends whom he’d soon be leaving behind – those who would miss him dearly, yet also those who would carry on living without him. He remembered all of their faces, fondly remembered the moments they’d shared together throughout his life. In a way, they were walking with him now too- accompanying him towards whatever awaited him at the end of this journey.
The man kept walking forward until eventually, he could no longer see what lay beyond the light – only its warmth radiating around him like a comforting embrace from an old friend. He knew that all of his fears and anxieties were gone now; everything seemed so distant in this new peaceful reality. Calmness surrounded him like a cocoon, protecting and sheltering him from any further pain or suffering in the journey ahead.
And then suddenly there came a sound – soft yet unmistakable - gently beckoning to him from within the light: ‘Come!’ it said ‘Come now…’ And with one final step forward, our weary traveler stepped past the threshold between life and death; between darkness and light; between pain and peace - entering into eternity as if being swallowed up by an ocean of love and joy infinitely greater than anything he'd ever experienced before..
