The story thus far...
Ten thousand recruits. People from all walks of life, all shapes and sizes, both famous and ordinary. Mission control at Gemini had worked very hard to assemble this crew, and looking at all the faces of these astronauts, there was much to be proud of. These cadets represented the best the Earth had to offer—the bravest souls ready to take on the daunting task of laying a new foundation for the future of humanity. Putting this diverse group of cadets together to embark on a mission of this caliber, was truly an awkward enterprise, but it needed to be done. An awkward mission for an awkward group.
Despite all this, the first leg of the mission had gone well. The starship traversed the solar system with ease and was able to conquer interstellar distances well at relativistic speeds. It was only a matter of time, however, before the cadets faced their first true challenge. In the vast blackness of space, the Gemini starship was waylaid by a wormhole that transported the crew into a completely unknown location.

As the crew emerged from the wormhole, they were met with a view that was truly beyond anything they could have ever imagined. There was a vast and beautiful celestial landscape, full of strange and mysterious creatures, all seemingly unaware of the arrival of the crew. The cadets were in awe, staring in wonder at the alien world around them…
